ACCESS AND SITUATION

The group of stone circles known today as La Corona de los muertos, and here The Crowns of the Moon the word ‘dead’ could come from an erroneous translation of the word ‘il’ which, in Basque, the principal language of the local toponymy, in a dictionary reference and profane simplification, means: dead -muerto-, month and moon stands in the Valle de Hecho (Huesca).

Spanish Military Cartography maps, at a scale of 1:50,000, show this site to stand in the area corresponding to Zuriza 28~7, with coordinates: Longitude 0º 42’ 35” W, Latitude 42º 52’ 09” N, Altitude 1,216 m, and on UTM X 687.640, Y 4.745.580.
